Anna’s Place NOLA Awarded Gaudet Grants

Our Easter season started out with the joyous news of being awarded two Gaudet Grants from the Episcopal Community Services of the Diocese of Louisiana. The first $10,000 grant is for our summer camp program, the theme of which this year is Our Cultural Heritage – Western Africa to the Caribbean. The funds will help us provide an African drummer to perform and teach the kids, dancers and story tellers surrounding this theme. The second $10,000 grant is for our fall and spring academic year program for the 2016–17 school year. Both programs provide an arts-integrated project learning curriculum, health, nutrition, group counseling, visual arts, choir, music lessons with LPO musicians, gardening and more.
